Pridham 30 September 1916

Lawrence Pridham’s short letter to his uncle sent while on his last leave in Tottenham and talks about the short notice and his expected entraining date for leaving overseas.

Dear Uncle,

Am home on last leave, as you see you never know where you are in the army. We were warned 10 A.M. yesterday morning & away in the afternoon we are supposed to entrain on the 6 Oct.

Do not send any mail to Bn as it will only be held up till we reach England if writing send to above address.

Hoping the Germans to not reach you, I remain Yours pugnaciously till we reach Berlin. [??]
