McCombs, Lloyd Harvey

McCombsB155284 Rifleman LIoyd Harvey McCombs was born on June 2, 1920 in Fonthill, Ontario, the son of Harley O. McCombs and Erie C. Neff and husband of Annabelle McCombs, of Crowland, Ontario. He left school after completing Grade 8.

McCombs enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on December 7, 1941 and served with the Queen’s Own Rifles in Kiska and Europe during World War II.

Rifleman McCombs was killed in action On 10 August 1944 in Bretteville, France, and is buried in Bretteveille-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery, Grave Reference XI. D. 11.
