David W. March was born in Toronto, Ontario on May 31, 1958.
He enlisted with the Queen’s Own Rifles on March 10, 1975. He was stationed at several bases in Canada and Served a tour of duty with the United Nations Emergency Force II stationed in Ismailia, Egypt in 1978 to 1979. Dave has been awarded the foreign Decoration Medal for service with the UN, the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal and the Corrections Exemplary Service Medal with Bar.
He was discharged in 1980 and joined the Ministry of Correctional Services in Ontario, and after 34 years retired as the Superintendent of the Windsor Jail.
Dave is retired and has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion since 1981 and is currently 2nd vice-President of Branch 399 in Belle River, Ontario.
