Stanley R. Manns was born on January 30, 1926. He joined the Army on September 1, 1944 and served as a Rifleman in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe during World War II.

Before he was called into the army, he worked for Pedlar People in Oshawa, Ontario and after he was discharged on August 20 1946 went back to Pedlar People for over 40 years until it closed.

Stanley passed away on February 20, 1997.
