P22238 Warrant Officer I William Demmy, DCM, CD was a veteran of the Second World War and Regimental Sergeant Major of the 2^nd Battalion Jan 1954 to Jun 1955 and the Regimental Depot from 1955-58.

Demmy was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) in April 1944. He was RSM of the 2nd Battalion during its deployment to Korea 1954-55.
