Louis was born on January 12, 1927, in Toronto, Ontario.

He enlisted in the Amy in January 1945. He served with the Queen’s Own Rifles during World War II.

He was discharged in September 1945 and was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal.

He married Anne and had two sons.

Louis was a member of Maple Leaf/Swansea Legion Branch 266.

He died in Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on 4 May 2021.
