COOK, Orville M.

020200223_0022Orville was born on April 11, 1921 in Toronto, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army in June 1940. He served with the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada in France, Belgium, Germany, and Holland during World War II. He was discharged on August 8, 1945 and went to work for Brinks Canada until his retirement at the age of 65. Orville is featured in Roy Whitsed’s book “Queen’s Own Rifle’s” with a chapter called “Cookie’s Luck”. He was a member of Tara Legion Branch 383 for 48 years. Orville passed away on April 5, 2011.
