Gordon B. Bush served with the Dufferin Haldimand Rifles, Royal Hamilton Light Infantry and The Queens Own Rifles of Canada from 1940 – 1946 leaving service as a Company Sergeant Major. Serving his country was a great honour for him and he often spoke of the amazing individuals he met and relationships he formed including a very special one, at a dance class, that lasted over 68 years (his wife Evelyn.)
Gord enjoyed every day of his career that began with the BC Power Commission as it evolved to BC Hydro from where he retired as Superintendent of Production.
Gord was a tireless volunteer and had an unceasing purpose to give back to his community. He was a Trustee of the East Wellington Fire Protection District for 55+ years and a proud member of the BC Hydro Power Pioneers.
Gordon passed away on July 3, 2012 in Nanaimo, BC.
