Bruner, Robert

Robert Bruner was born in Calgary on February 27, 1947, the son of Theresia and Morley Bruner.

He joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1965 and served with the Queen’s Own Rifles. From 1968 to 1972, he served with the Airborne Regiment. His last years of service were with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI), until 1981 when he retired. In 2000 Bob was awarded the Peacekeeping Medal for service to his country.

He began a new career as a stock broker with Hampton Securities and more recently with Pacific International.

Bob died 12 May 2002 as a result of a motor vehicle accident at the age of 55 years.
