Master Warrant Officer Bryan Anthony Betteridge was born in North Bay, Ontario on 12 February 1934, the second of four children to Horace and Lil Betteridge.
He began his career with the Canadian Armed Forces at the age of 17; he enjoyed a 36 year career and many experiences with them. In his years with the Canadian Forces he spent time with the Queen’s Own Rifles, Princess Patricia’s Regiment and the Canadian Airborne. Bryan had many fond memories of his times in the forces and was always happy when there was someone to listen to one of his many stories. One of his greatest joys came from his time with the Airborne and the brotherhood that was formed there. Bryan retired from the forces in 1991 as a Master Warrant Officer and settled in Didsbury, AB.
He spent his retirement caring for his parents and sister while also enjoying his favorite pastime; golf, and traveling with his wife, Shannon.
Bryan died 27 July 2013.
