  • 3 August 1883 – Promoted to Major
  • 1885 – Served as Major in the Northwest Rebellion Field Force
  • 5 February 1887 – Promoted to l.ieutenant Colonel and appointed Commanding Officer
  • 30 August 1889 – Retired retaining rank
