Description
The Canadian Volunteer Monument honours nine riflemen, including three University of Toronto students, who fell at the Battle of Ridgeway in June 1866. It is located on the west side of Queen’s Park Crescent in Toronto. It was sculpted by  Robert Reid of Montreal. The monument was sponsored and paid for by Toronto citizens, and dedicated on 1 July 1870.
