Book of Remembrance

Type
Book

Description
The Book of Remembrance includes the names of all members of the regiment who died in the service of their country – in combat, and in peacetime.

It is kept in a special case in a small chapel at the back of the main chancel (west side) of St Paul’s Bloor St – the Regimental Church.

Taken out at each service at which the regiment is present, by a special party of senior officer and non-commissioned officers, it is escorted to the front, presented to the Commanding Officer, who in turn presents it to the Rector who places it on the alter during the service. The process is reversed at the end of the service to return it to its place of honour.
