  1. my great uncle Thomas Judge 83rd battln. I have his records. Not a very good soldier. In and out of trouble. Served in the 4th div. Motor train.

      1. Unfortunately you are right but I found a treasure trove of information on his movements during the war and that he believed his father was kept out of action due to an eye and ear issues were wrong. Incidentally he was 50 when he enlisted but stated he was 44.

  2. Hello. My great-uncle (Thomas Davin 171067) served during WW1 with the 83rd Battalion. Could you please help me with an explanation of why the 1st Reinforcing Draft (of which he was a part) left Canada ahead of the main body of the 83rd Battalion? This doesn’t seem to make sense. Thank you.
