The new badge for The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada which now includes the “The” has been officially posted in the Canada Gazette on March 22, 2014:

So you went throu8gh the whole rigmarole of obtaining approval for a new badge, just to add “The”? I have to ask – why?

Dave – the Museum didn’t go through this process – we’ve just recognized what has taken place. This would have been an initiative of the Regimental Senate so we can’t answer your question. 🙂
