Master Corporal Joseph  Alexander Wiseman was born on 15 October 1942 in Windsor, Ontario.

Joseph enlisted in the Army on 6 November 1959 at the age of 17, joining the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada until 1968, when the Unit became a Reserve Unit.

Until Joseph retired in 1985 with 26 years of service; he served with the 2 Canadian Guards from 1968 to 1970, 3 Royal Canadian Regiment from 1970 to 1977; 2 Service Battalion Transport Company from 1977 to 1983 and 2 Field Ambulance from 1983 to 1985. Joseph was stationed in Germany, Cyprus and various Bases in Canada during his Armed Forces Career.

M/CpI Joseph Wiseman, now retired, divides his time between golfing, family and gardening. He has been a member of Petawawa Legion Branch 517 for 34 years.
