Corporal Max Olszewski served as an army cadet before joining The Queen’s Own Rifles in November 2009.

• 2007 – Army Cadet Exchange to Europe
• 2 March 2015 – Departs for Eastern Europe to serve in Operation Reassurance Land Task Force in Poland and Romania
• 30 June 2015 – Returns to Canada having been awarded the Task Force Commander’s Commendation for his work as a translator during Exercise Mountain Warrior
