Lieutenant Colonel John Irvin Mills, CD

Lieutenant Colonel John Irvin Mills CD, was born in Edmonton, Alberta on 19 Sep 1909, the son of John Irvin Mills and Annie Fenton Brewer. He was educated at Upper Canada College.

He married Mabel Jeanette Hunter and had two children: Stephanie and Fraser.

Mills served in the 1st Battalion during the Second World War and joined the 3rd Battalion (Militia) after the war, eventually becoming Commanding Officer.

Lieutenant Colonel Mills died in Toronto on 26 March 1991.

  • 1956, 24 Oct, ceases to be Commanding Officer 3rd Battalion and succeeded by Lieutenant Colonel R. L. Bickford CD.
