Tom Martin was born circa 1941.

He joined the 1st Battalion, The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada in the early 1960s and served with them in Germany.

Tom led the Victoria Branch of The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada Association for many years as well as being the National Association Vice President.

He was awarded the Regimental Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.

Tom died on 10 July 2023 in Victoria, British Columbia.
