What you’ll find:

  • Soldiers from the Regiment in various uniforms that our members wear
  • Displays with tac-vests, rucksacks, flack jackets, main and reserve parachute
  • Remembrance Day crafts for children
  • Camo face painting and temporary QOR Badge tatoos
  • Youth “museum fact finding mission”
  • Photo opportunities with a QOR Pioneer or Skirmisher in 19th Century Uniform
  • Guided tours of our exhibit rooms
  • The Regimental Band giving two performances during the afternoon in the Great Hall

3 Guest presentations (30 mins each repeating throughout the day):

  • Learn about the Queen’s Own at the 1866 Battle of Ridgeway with author Peter Vronsky (Ridgeway)
  • Learn about researching your First World War ancestors with Western Front Association member Bob Richardson
  • Learn about epitaphs added to Canadian First World War gravestones with teach, historian and author Dr. Eric McGeer
  • 10:00 am – Researching your First World War army ancestors
    10:45 am – Epitaphs added to Canadian First World War gravestones
    11:30 am – The Queen’s Own Rifles at the 1866 Battle Ridgeway
    12:15 pm – Researching your First World War army ancestors
    1:00 pm – Epitaphs added to Canadian First World War gravestones
    1:45 pm – The Queen’s Own Rifles at the 1866 Battle Ridgeway
    2:30 pm – Researching your First World War army ancestors
    3:15 pm – Epitaphs added to Canadian First World War gravestones
    4:00 pm – The Queen’s Own Rifles at the 1866 Battle Ridgeway

The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada Regimental Museum and program is included in your Casa Loma admission fee.
